An attempt at a poem for mums – ONEMums

The rather adorable and not too-angelic Penny over at the Alexander Residence tagged me on this one ages ago.  The problem was trying to write something as good as she did.  Having worked out that I never will and it doesn’t really matter, here is my attempt at the ONEMUMS linky.

Warning – I have never managed to do poetry.  Have always wanted to but it is one of my inadequacies.

Here goes …

Oh! Oooo! Ow!

Newborn.  Nappies. No Idea.

Excrement.  Exhaustion.

Mayhem.. Mess. Moods.

Until ….

Mesmerising personality.

Smiles all round.

I love a creative meme, this ONE is to raise parents’ awareness of ONE.

Michelle from Mummy from The Heart and Jen from BritMums have just returned from their trip to Ethiopia with ONE. Their ONEMums trip was all about sharing the work that ONE are doing to change lives in a changing country.

ONE is led by Bono, it’s advocacy organization dedicated to the fighting poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.

ONE is a non-partisan advocacy organization dedicated to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. Backed by more than 3 million members, they work with government leaders to support proven, cost-effective solutions to save lives and help build sustainable futures. ONE isn’t a charity or grant-making organisation. At ONE, we don’t ask for your money. We ask for your voice.

ONE don’t ask for your money, they are asking for your voice

#ONEMums (#ONEMoms) is about parents coming together to make noise.
