I encourage you to go and read about amazing mums making real and positive differences to the world shortlisted for the Tesco Mum of the Year Awards.
Take a look at the photographs and I hope you will agree with me that this is what beauty is about – real and diverse mums who are as lovely on the inside as they are in their pictures. Such spirit, such love.
These mums are often experiencing family and personal challenges and dig deep to help others. They are strong voices raising awareness, campaigning and fundraising. Refusing to give up no matter what.
Read their stories and honour their experiences. These mums shine a light and show us what can be.
What happens next?
All the shortlisted mums will be considered by a panel including DJ Sara Cox, TV personality Gaby Logan and sports presenter Denise Lewis.
The winning mums are announced in the New Year. They will be treated to a full makeover and Tesco Living magazine photo shoot, before being presented with their awards in front of friends, family and celebrity guests at a star-studded lunch at London’s iconic hotel, The Savoy, on 23 March 2014.
